Event Recording can be used to set when a camera is scheduled for generating Event Videos, and if they are triggered by detecting Motion and/or Sound.
Event Recording Schedule
You can choose between All Day or a scheduled Start and End time with the Event Recording Schedule.
Editing Event Record Schedule:
- Using the Wyze App, navigate to the Home tab and select any Wyze Cam.
- Click the Settings icon
on the top right
- Select the Event Recording tab
- Tap the Schedule tab
- Toggle “All Day” on/off
- All Day will instruct the camera to create Event Recordings at any time of day. If the “All Day” option is disabled, you can see the “Start Time” and “End Time” options.
- Deselect “All Day” and pick a Start and End time.
Detects Sound and Motion
You can set Wyze Cam to record a 12-second Event Video when it detects motion and/or sound. You can turn this feature on or off for Motion or Sound.
- Using the Wyze App, navigate to the Home tab and select any Wyze Cam.
- Click the Settings icon
on the top right
- Select the Event Recording tab
- Here you can turn on/off Detects motion and Detects sound.
Cool Down Period
When a Sound or Motion triggers a 12-second Event Video there is a 5 minute cool down period. Sound and Motion are separate triggers. So if a sound triggers an Event Video it will have a 5-minute cooldown, but if something then triggers via motion, during that time period it will also trigger an Event Video. Then there will be a separate 5-minute cooldown period for another motion-triggered video.

Smart Sound Recognition
Smart Sound Recognition uses an advanced algorithm that recognizes the unique sound patterns of smoke alarms and CO monitors. With Smart Sound Recognitions turned on, it will generate a 12-second Event Video and send a push notification to your phone so that you can act quickly.
Smart Sound Recognition settings are found in Home tab > Selected Device > Settings icon (top right) > and under Alarm Settings.
Here you can set the Smoke alarm sound and/or CO alarm sound on/off.
