Night Vision

The feature comes in handy for when you want to check your Live Stream after dark. Instead of seeing a dark, poorly-lit area, Night Vision uses LED infrared lights to brighten the image.

To turn on Night Vision:

  1. In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Cam.

  2. Tap the moon icon (On NVOn.png, OffNVOff.png, or AutoNVAuto.png) on the top right until it’s On.

Seeing a glare with Night Vision turned on?

Wyze Cam v2 and Pan can toggle the IR lights on/off when using Night Vision. This can help if you have your camera pointed through a window, but are seeing a glare in the Live Stream.

Note: This feature is not available on Wyze Cam v1.

To turn on and off the infrared (IR) lights:

  1. In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Cam.

  2. Tap the Settings icon on the top right.

  3. Tap Advanced Settings.

  4. Tap the toggle next to Night Vision IR Lights to Off.

Additional Notes:

  • While Wyze Cam does have good low-light vision on its own, we can’t guarantee that you’ll have full visibility with IR lights disabled.

    • If you aren’t getting a clear picture with IR lights disabled, we recommend using a motion-activated floodlight or an IR Blaster placed outside the window that the camera is looking through.

  • Wondering how Night Vision works in your camera?

    • Your Wyze Cam has 4 LED infrared lights (Pan has 6!) that turn on when you enable Night Vision. The camera also has an infrared light filter that drops in front of the camera lens to view the video feed using the infrared light.

    • You may hear a “click” when Night Vision is turned on and off. This is the sound of that infrared light filter moving within the camera.
